BALDWIN WRITES BOOK ABOUT 'DIVORCED DAD'02/17/2006Alec Baldwin is writing a book about coping with being a divorced dad. The "Hunt For Red October" actor has been locked in a bitter custody battle with ex-wife, Kim Basinger, over their daughter, 10-year-old Ireland. According to his publisher, St. Martin's, Baldwin "plans to share his personal insights and will reveal the unimaginable pressures involved in fighting a high-conflict custody battle while continuing to function as a busy actor and public advocate." The statement added: "He hopes the book will create opportunities for healing, and inspire both public debate and changes in antiquated divorce laws." The handsome star is also planning to lead seminars for parents about divorce. In the 90's, Baldwin and Basinger were one of Hollywood's most celebrated couples. The "Batman" actress cited "irreconcilable differences" when they split in 2001 after 7 years of marriage. 2 |
